About the opportunity:

We are at an inflection point for the organisation and are in need of a hungry new person eager to be part of the journey as we increase our footprint and deepen our activity across the globe, with a focus on APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

To help us achieve our vision, we are looking to appoint a new Commercial Partnerships Manager who will work closely with our Head of Partnerships. We are seeking an inspirational, high-energy person to join our team and help drive our growth and capitalise on commercial opportunities. This will be an opportunity like no other! You will be at the forefront of an emerging global sector, visualising and driving commercial partnerships with organisations worldwide. This is a mid-level role and would also suit someone with 5+ years of experience in consulting, business or corporate development, strategy or a high growth startup.

Responsibilities:  

  • Take proposals from concept to submission – You will identify and clarify opportunities and needs, review requests for proposals (RFPs), and attend strategy and briefing meetings. You will write drafts and determine the proposal concept with Senior Leadership
  • Develop and lead impact fundraising campaigns – Expand funding opportunities across our global operations and support impact operations
  • Tender and grant coordination – manage daily administrative tasks to ensure tenders / RFIs run smoothly. Develop processes and reports to support this pipeline and provide internal visibility
  • Reporting Development Work – Create reports showing fundraising progress and effectiveness of current and past campaigns and applications. From supporting grant writing efforts to organising newsletters and other communication materials to communicate with donors and manage a calendar of events
  • Cultivate donor relationships – Communicate with donors and sponsors to maintain strong relationships and ensure Swoop Aero remains aware of relevant funding opportunities

What you will bring:

You’re a commercial hustler who sees opportunities where others don’t. You thrive on the challenge and are ready to drive right in. Closing the deal comes easily, and you are now ready for a new and exciting challenge. You may come from the commercial team of a high growth start-up or have delivered results in a client facing role of a Tier 1 management consultancy. Most importantly, you will be able to demonstrate results that will transform Swoop Aero and the world. Your background may include the following:

  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation with 5+ years experience managing and scaling business operations globally. Highly desirable experience include health, logistics, and government
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage and build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • 5+ years’ management-level experience with proven ability to plan and manage resources
  • Self-motivated & Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience with CRM software (i.e., Hubspot, Salesforce)
  • A demonstrated experience measuring and evaluating project or program impact
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Development or equivalent experience
