About the Opportunity:

Are you a Development Associate who wants the opportunity to own the tender pipeline to drive growth and have a strong influence across our networks and social impact services?

Are you a deadline-oriented problem-solver who will get into the detail, identifying and developing responses to grant/tender opportunities that help grow our impact globally?

You will be part of our Commercial Team and be in charge of identifying, responding and coordinating tender responses to develop commercially sustainable long-term services in markets with high potential for social impact. This is a new function for Swoop Aero that will work closely with our Head of Social Impact to drive sustainable operations in countries and deliver on our mission as a positive, for-profit business while leading the charge on growing our presence in existing markets and identifying new expansion opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Take proposals from concept to submission. You will identify and clarify opportunities and needs, review requests for proposals (RFPs), and attend strategy and briefing meetings. You will write drafts and determine the proposal concept with Senior Leadership
• Develop and lead impact fundraising campaigns to expand funding opportunities across our global operations and support impact operations
• Tender and grant coordination – manage daily administrative tasks to ensure tenders / RFIs run smoothly. Develop processes and reports to support this pipeline and provide internal visibility
• Reporting Development Work Create reports showing fundraising progress and effectiveness of current and past campaigns and applications. From supporting grant writing efforts to organising newsletters and other communication materials to communicate with donors and manage a calendar of events
• Cultivate donor relationships – Communicate with donors and sponsors to maintain strong relationships and ensure Swoop Aero remains aware of relevant funding opportunities

What you will bring:

• Min. 2 years experience in grant writing, prospect research, general fundraising or a minimum of 4 years of comparable and transferable skills acquired in a professional setting
• Impeccable presentation and writing skills with the ability to quickly understand and translate technical communication
• Proven ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment and plan and manage resources for complex tender responses
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage and build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Media, Business, International Development or equivalent experience
